Eligibility
Certified members who have maintained their certification with iNARTE for a period of five (5) years or more, may be placed in a retired status provided they meet the following criteria:
- Age 62 or older or are no longer able to work or are not practicing telecommunications or EMC/ESD full time. Minimal consulting is permissible.
- Derive less than $5,000 annually from the practice of telecommunications or EMC/ESD consulting and/or other related services.
- Initiate a formal request to iNARTE Headquarters for placement in the retired category. This request
must certify that the appropriate conditions of eligibility (list and describe) have been met. (See How to Apply.)
Retirement Status Benefits and Requirements
Individuals qualifying and accepted by iNARTE into a retired status will:
- Pay annual renewal dues up to and including age 75.
- Retirement renewal fees are listed here.
- The word "Retired" will appear on the annual certificate following the
Level designation. The abbreviation "Ret." will appear on the annual membership wallet card.
- Retired status members are eligible for all iNARTE
Certified member benefits.
How to Apply for Retirement Status
In a signed letter to iNARTE, confirm that:
- You are age 62 or older; OR are no longer able to work; OR are not practicing telecommunications or EMC/ESD full time. (Minimal consulting is permissible).
- You derive less than $5,000 annually from the practice of telecommunications or EMC/ESD consulting and/or other related services.
- Include your iNARTE Certification number.
Mail the letter to iNARTE at 840 Queen Street, New Bern, 28560.
Once your retired status is approved, you will receive a
confirmation letter by mail.
Once your retirement fees are received, you will receive a new Certification Document and
Membership Card designating your Retired Status.
