| If you have 2 to 5 years of telcom technician experience,
OR hold an iNARTE-approved AS degree, you may qualify for the Junior Technician Certification. (formerly Classes 3 and 4) |
| If you have 6 to 7 years of telcom technician experience, you qualify for the
Senior Technician Certification. (formerly Class 2) |
| If you have 8 + years of experience as a telcom technician, you qualify for the
Master Technician Certification. (formerly Class 1) |
| If you have 4 to 6 years engineering experience,
OR hold an iNARTE-approved BSEE, BSEET or BS, you
may qualify for the
Junior Engineer Certification. (formerly Class 3) |
| If you have 6 to 8 years engineering experience, you qualify for the
Senior Engineer Certification. (formerly Class 2) |
| If you have 8 + years engineering experience, you qualify for the
Master Engineer Certification. (formerly Class 1) |

* In 2003, iNARTE changed its telecommunications certification level names
to enhance comprehension and recognition of iNARTE's certification levels by both industry
and the public at large.
The Technician Class 3 and 4 merged to form the Junior technician level. Requirements for
the Junior technician certification are now equivalent to the former Technician Class 3
requirements.
