Executive Director Brian Lawrence
iNARTE Welcomes New Executive Director
Lawrence Assumes iNARTE Executive Directorship

Former ETS-Lindgren leader Brian Lawrence has been chosen to oversee operations for The International Association for Radio, Telecommunications and Electromagnetics.

Brian F. Lawrence, former managing director of ETS-Lindgren in the United Kingdom, began overseeing iNARTE’s entire operation and staff as Executive Director in July.

With a career spanning more than 40 years in the electromagnetic compatibility field, Lawrence has developed numerous contacts in common with iNARTE members and their board of directors.

“I’ve known of their work for years and am glad to now be a part of it and hopefully make a significant contribution to them,” Lawrence says. The position came open in recent months after outgoing Executive Director Russ Carstensen announced his retirement. “Russ Carstensen has led us very well for seven years and brought NiARTE to the place it is today,” says Stephen Berger, president of iNARTE. “With his retirement, we started an international search and are very pleased to bring someone of Brian’s talent and experience to lead iNARTE into its future.” Lawrence joins the association at a pivotal time, Berger says. “Given the rapid changes in technological innovation in telecommunications, iNARTE is challenged to stay current and relevant to the needs of the current industry,” Berger says.

iNARTE is a worldwide telecommunications nonprofit that certifies qualified engineers and technicians in telecommunications, electromagnetic compatibility/interference, product safety, electrostatic discharge control and wireless systems installation. iNARTE also administers Federal Communications Commission commercial operator license exams.
