North Carolina A&T State University Hosts NARTE's First Student Chapter

On Thursday, September 14th, 2000, iNARTE's Executive Director, Russell Carstensen presented North Carolina A&T State University with NARTE's first student chapter charter. The presentation was hosted by the School of Technology at NC A&T State University in Greensboro, NC.

Carstensen met with the founding student members of the chapter and with University representatives including Dr. John Spurlin, Chairman of Electronics and Computer Technology and with Assistant Professor Dr. Derrek B. Dunn, who has been instrumental in the establishment of this chapter.

Mr. Carstensen presented the Student Chapter Charter, a Student Chapter Certification and $100 to establish funds for the Student Chapter's continued good works.

NARTE is pleased and honored to have presented North Carolina A & T State University with the designation and the appropriate protocols for the establishment of a NARTE Student Chapter.

The Student Chapter designation is a milestone, enhancing University/College recognition by Industry in the fields of electronics and telecommunications and offers unique opportunities for students pursuing degrees in these fields to gain insight and better understanding of the industry at work, future trends and personnel requirements.
